Nordic Hackathon 2026
Coordinated care, interoperability and the EHDS. The hackathon's three scenarios follow patients with complex needs across a regional or national border. Each page below runs the scenario against this sandbox: it loads the organisers' synthetic European Patient Summary into the FHIR exchange layer and shows what the receiving team needs, critical items first, with the date and source of every item.
Ville: emergency access for a difficult airway
A boy with a known difficult airway arrives at an emergency department that has never met him.
Vilhelm “Ville” Söderberg, 13
Uppsala → Paris, and backAndrea: diabetes and a mental-health crisis abroad
A Swedish exchange student with type 1 diabetes and ADHD reaches a Paris emergency department after a slow slide.
Andrea Lindqvist, 24
Sweden → Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen → home care in SwedenArne: hip fracture in Copenhagen, home to Sweden
An 83-year-old with ten conditions breaks his hip visiting his son, and must come home to a plan that is ready.
Arne Bergström, 83
How the scenarios run here
- Reference data from the organisers.
Each scenario uses the synthetic European Patient Summary that Provbana publishes for it, fetched live.
- Loaded into the exchange layer.
The document and its resources are written to the sandbox's HAPI FHIR server, with the same ids every time.
- Shown critical-first.
Alerts, critical medicines and plans on top; anything out of date, cancelled or missing next; the rest below, each with date and source.
- Handed over with a receipt.
For Arne, the discharge plan is a set of FHIR Tasks that each Swedish recipient must confirm.
